Promoter Sequence Search

Hello everyone,

Could anyone tell me how can I search a promoter sequence (with it's start and end position) in a given gene Sequence.

You want to predict the possible promoter region for your gene of interest? try to use some online tools like promoser etc. or if you want to have high confidence you can check for methylation marks in the region of interest. Usually for most of the genes the promoters lie with in 2kb (upstream) regions
