I would like to read some introductory material in Computational Neuroscience(CN). Please give me some pointers which includes some basic material and guides and poineering work in and related to CN.

Have you tried a Pubmed / Google Scholar search for Computational Neuroscience or Neuroinformatics reviews? If you have and not found anything then it's a reasonable question, but otherwise this is a great place to start.

I tried but I don't know where to start. if somebody from the field gives any advice of where to start, it would be nice.

Agree. Am in a similar quest, need someone who has a background in this field to suggest appropriate materials. I especially am looking from a Computer Science graduate perspective.

I would recommend "The Computational Brain" by Churchland & Sejnowski (1992). It starts with the fundamentals of neuroscience and programming (necessary to novices, refreshing for those with a degree), then covers landmark discoveries that shaped the field & theory, and ends with visions of the future. I found the chapters to be very well-worded but not as dry as an article on CompNeuro, so a good starter. If you like the idea that our brains can be analyzed as computers, you'll be fascinated.
