How To Create A Predictive Model (Tumor/No Tumor) Using Geo Data Sets

Hi! I'm currently a HS student wanting to model a pathway using GEO data.

What would be the best way to create a predictive model (tumor or no tumor) using GEO data sets? What would be the minimum sample size?

I have access to SPSS Statistics and Rapidminer. Thanks!

You also have access to R, because it's free and open-source. A lot of people would use R/Bioconductor for this purpose.
