News: Call For Nominations: 2013 Benjamin Franklin Award

We are now accepting nominations for the 2013 Benjamin Franklin Award for Open Access in the Life Sciences. This is a humanitarian award presented annually by the Bioinformatics Organization (Bioinformatics.Org) to an individual who has, in his or her practice, promoted open-access to the materials and methods used in the life sciences.

Thanks Dr. Li for the wonderful news. Other than being an integral part in the development of great bioinformatics software including bowtie, glimmer, tophat, cufflinks etc., he has always been an active supporter for open source journals and teaching of evolution in schools. Well deserved.
