I would like to know how to read an electropherogram in a "weighed" manner, that is: if I desired to obtain not a simple sequence from an electropherogram on the base of the better peak in each position, but rather a 2 lines matrix considering the 2 best picks*, what kind of application could I use?
*Each related to a probability depending on the peak's height.
PS: As some of you know, I am in wait of indications regarding the nick I am using. I will continue using the "wiee" nick only until I receive a communication. I do not want to disturb here and I would like to clarify the problem.

The staden package ( http://staden.sourceforge.net/ ) contains a 'C' library for reading the traces. As far as I remember, you'll get the intensities for each base and for each position. Are they normalized ? I don't know.
Thanks for the correction and sorry for the mistake, but I would have preferred to repair by my self the error, as you gave me this opportunity in the first 6 hours. Beside this, I appreciate the merging of wiee and Anima mundi but, again, I would have preferred to be consulted.
