Lately I came across several papers on this area: http://evfold.org/ or psicov My question is that if anyone of you have actually used it and got interesting results. I tried psicov without anything useful. I could not run the evfold code due to lack of Matlab bioinformatics toolbox.

What is your research question? Are you asking if anyone has used this platform and is it worth the time spent trying to fix your matlab dependencies?

I would advise you, about EVFold, to directly contact the people involved. They might help you.

This is one of the fastest growing area related to protein structure prediction, given only the FASTA sequence. Evolutionary family contains all the information related to the structure of target sequence. This and this are amazing reviews of methods that uses MSA to predict protein structure.
