Hi all,

I have a phylogenetic tree based on set of samples. May I know, what are different ways to find out if the lineages generated in my phylogenetic tree are already known lineages?

From my understanding, I can take a reference genomes in the already known lineage and draw a phylogenetic tree of my samples along with reference genomes and then can check which lineage my samples are falling in. This would help me understand if my samples are falling in known lineage or unknown lineage. Can kindly request if someone with experience guide me if this a proper way to follow up with the analysis?

Many thanks in advance.
