Hi guys,

I am currently trying to identify whether my specific strains of bacteria are capable of being genetically modified anf I am very new to this field.

I was wondering if any of you have come across any good bioinfomatics tools for identifying competence genes?

Alternatively, finding a list of competence genes would be great as then I could do it manually and look out for specific genes.

My work does not include wet lab, just software tools if possible please.
