Seeking Tutorial on codon subsitution model and how we can develop more robust codon substitution models

Dear member, Currently, I am working on codon substitution models and trying to understand how more robust codon substitution models can be made. Though I am reading literature and book, I would be obliged if people working in the same or related field suggest me some good tutorial and book as well as suggests me what are the most important parameters I should consider while moving head.
