Ubuntu 16.04 booting problem

I have recently updated my workstation from ubuntu 14 to 16.04, after this whenever i tried to login monitor says "input signal out of range, change setting to 1280x1028-60HZ" So to solve this I have entered into grub menu and modified this "#GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480" to "GRUB_GFXMODE=1280x1028". after this while restarting i have mistakenly entered into boot menu (Pressed f12). Now I cannot come out from this boot menu, I tried to restart but again its getting into boot menu. Boot menu page

Please help me solve this
