Mean reads length for 400 bp reads in ion Torrent

Hi everybody,

I'am using IonTorrent S5 sequencer to sequence my bacterial whole genome, but when I get the results I found the mean length of reads is only 120 bp whereas I worked with 400 bp fragments. in your opinion, what would the problem be ?

I assume you mean to say bp instead of pb. At this point it is not really a bioinformatics question since your problem likely lies on experimental side. Bad libraries perhaps?
