Who curates the RIFs into RefSeqs?

As most of us know GeneRIF allow scientists to add to the functional annotation of genes described in Gene (i.e. RefSeq also)

Are most of these actually submitted by authors or do the NCBI Biocurators also push these in themselves when checking the literature for which Pubs to link to genes?

pubmed refseq

A large number of the GeneRIFs are lovingly curated by the NLM MeSH indexers. Some GeneRIFs can be added by RefSeq curators as well. And finally, a good number of them are user-submitted. You can find more information here.

If you come across a GeneRIF that is mis-associated, please submit your correction here.

Thanks, I guessed as much but does anyone have even rough overall stats of that three-way split?
