Hi everyone,
Does someone probably know how to annotate genes using the NCBI RefSeq? I have the gene annotation file that uses NCBI RefSeq codes instead of the gene names. For example:
gene21987 - "LOC107396061"
gene21988 - "LOC107396063"
gene21989 - "reps2"
gene21990 - "nhs"
If I write, for example, the LOC107396061 in the https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/refseq/ search line, I find out that it is a predicted cadherin protein. However, most of the genes in my gene set are coded by "LOC", and it would be impossible to insert all of them and read their descriptions manually. Is there, probably, a tool, similar to ID mapper in the Uniprot, where I can insert all the "LOC" codes at once?
Thank you in advance!

Annotate the gene set using NCBI RefSeq? You need RefSeq ID's for these genes?
