What language is the original article in? Or are you asking for a simple(r) explanation of a paper already in English?

Sorry but I have to connect this sentence with next. I wrote the three sentences together.
The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of the alleles of 10 microsatellite markers in Sicilian sheep, providing a first reference document for genetic characterization, phylogenetic analysis and genetic traceability of sheep flocks. Those markers were chosen from a set recommended by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG).
Could you please check ?
P.S: (aka objective) means that I can use objective instead of aim ?
Parlo un po' d'italiano - abitavo a milano in 2014. Tu vuoi traduzire (a italiano) e capire il inglese scritto nun altro manoscritto?; oppure tu sta scrivendo un manoscrito e vuoi sapere si il suo inglese e' buono? Si, 'objective' e' la stessa che 'aim'.
