Thanks that helps, i will review each one, but are the tools mentioned there the most commonly ones used in microbial genomics?
hello, i have worked a lot in human genomics and wanted to delve into microbial genomics a bit. basically i was looking for pointers for analysis of microbial sequencing data? is it the same as human?
are there any sites/ resources that discuss microbial genomics including the bioinformatics pipelines etc.,required.
any pointers in this direction would be most appreciated.

Googling for beginner microbial genomics will lead you to a lot of resources, such as Beginner’s guide to comparative bacterial genome analysis using next-generation sequence data or Bacterial genomics tutorial. I believe some other far-fetched search terms such as bacterial genomics tutorial may lead to some other resources.
