I want to just give a snapshot to type of sequencing and their main use. This post is for beginners who are into NGS data analysis.

2. Whole Exome Sequencing (WES)

a. Sequencing of all coding regions (exons) in the genome

3. Chip-seq

a. Used for identification of epigenetic changes which include identification transcription factor, methylation, protein-DNA interaction

4.RNA-Seq

a. Mainly used for identification transcript expression, novel coding regions, novel isoforms etc.
