Lositan not opening - unsigned entry

Hi,

I used Lositan successfully yesterday and then today it stopped working. I had upgraded to Java 8 and thought that was the problem so reverted back to Java 7 but it still is not working. I get the following error when I try to launch Lositan: Found unsigned entry in resource: http://popgen.net/soft/lositan/code2/lib/batik-awt-util.jar Can anyone help with this issue?

I am having the same issue - used Lositan successfully yesterday and today it won't open. I get the following error when I try to launch Lositan - Error: Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system. The following resource is signed with a weak signature algorithm MD5withRSA and is treated as unsigned: http://popgen.net/soft/lositan/code2/lib/jython.jar

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue! -Kristina

You may have solved the issue by now, but just incase you haven't....I solved the issue by uninstalling Java 8 and reinstalling Java 7. Seems the security settings in Java 8 are too strict and are unable to be altered.

I tried Java version jre-7u72-windows-x64, but still could not launch Lositan. Can anyone help with this?

Seemingly, Lositan is not compatible with recent versions of Java.
