Imputation and phasing of one sample at a time or all samples together ?

Hi,

Is there any benefits of phasing haplotypes for all your samples instead of doing it sample by samples ? Doing it per individual basis helps with computation type by helping parallelise.

I'm using SHAPEIT and IMPUTE2 and I don't see what benefit it would bring doing it with all my samples at a time.

I also see no advantage to doing phasing with multiple samples at once unless they're related and the program is told how they are related.
