I tried looking for a appropriate place to post this question but could not find one. How here we are. It happens to me for at least two years now:
When I am reading some thread before login, I want to comment something so I login. After typing my credentials and login successfully, I am redirected to biostars homepage, not the thread I was reading. I would be convenient to redirect to the thread instead. And it thought that is a default behaviour on most websites.
That would make sense indeed. Tagging Istvan Albert
But is there any reason why you aren't logged in permanently? That avoids this entire issue and is probably the reason why not more people have this problem.
I change my computer here and there. And also I don't want my colleagues to post things on my behalf (kidding). Mainly I don't have the habit of saving passwords.
I don't have the habit of remembering passwords so I have to save those. In addition, I login using my gmail account so that's covered too...
But the redirect you suggest sounds reasonable, Istvan will have to comment if it's also feasible in the current implementation.
