Forum: Learning Perl: list of resources
Perl is so much fun! I thought I'd share with you the resources I used to learn this amazing, versatile tool. It's just a couple of books:
- Learning Perl - available for free
- Intermediate Perl
I personally think these two books are sufficient to let you do whatever it is you want to do with Perl.
Feel free to add the resources you used or think are good for learning Perl! I will keep this post updated.
Books:
- Beginning Perl for Bioinformatics
- Mastering Perl for Bioinformatics
- Beginning Perl - available online
- Genomic Perl: From Bioinformatics Basics to Working Code
Websites:
- Unix and Perl Primer for Biologists – for beginners in both (I've never seen this before. Seems awesome!)
- Programming for Bioinformatics – list of general resources
