Assigning time to data analysis (detection of signatures of selection)

Dear community We are currently writing a grant proposal where we intend to sequence the genome of 6 mouse lines with 10 individuals per line, then process the data to the point where we can detect signatures of selection by calculating iHS and FST statistics. (based on: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4144660/)

I am proficient in R and basic user of Python and UNIX command line. I have no previous experience with this type of analysis. However, I have experience with RNAseq data analysis.

What would you advise as a reasonable timeframe? (we were predicting 6 months full time, but we are not sure if this is an underestimation)
