Hey, I am using MEGAN to parse my blast report. So in each node, I see some nodes only have sum (and a number associated with it) but some have both ass and sum. When I try to extract reads, only those nodes have ass will extract reads. So what is the difference between sum and ass? Does ass refer to reads than pass the LCA parameters?
Please use appropriate tags. Your question is about MEGAN. That should have been a tag when you created the question. When you add appropriate tags, users that follow the tag (usually experts interested in helping others in that subject matter) get notified of your question, and this means you stand a better chance at getting a relevant, useful response faster.
