Statistical Analysis Of Change In Protein Concentration During Disease

Concentrations of 50 proteins were measured in 50 normal persons and 150 patients. I am just wondering what kind of analysis will be most appropriate to finding out which protein concentration is changing most significantly during disease.

statistics

definitely ANOVA - if the distributions aren't normal you probably need permutation ANOVA - technically there is no such thing as most significant - its either significant or not!

Before performing any further data analysis, u must normalize your data. You can do "per protein normalization across each person" or "per person normalization across 50 proteins". Once your data is normalized, You can go for further test like ANNOVA, multivariate statistics.
