Budget distribution for the proposal related to the previous post.

Hi there,

This post is related to my earlier post.This is the first ever project I have submitted and the project executive summary (PES) has been accepted.The process is in its last phase. I need to submit the the Project Proposal Documents (PPD) which consist of 7 documents, and in one of them is the proposed financial details.This is the arena where I require help of Some one and Soon. The budget need to be distributed among manpower, consumables, travel, contingencies, institute overhead budget,budget of other cost , budget of Equipment.I would like to know how to calculate the aforementioned distributions. The total alloted budget is 20 lakh.I already have the budget for manpower ,as stated in the instructions, and the budget for the software equipment. I know this is not the place to be discussing this but I hope through this medium I could get a helping hand from some one. I am in a fix. People who are struggling,may also benefit from this post.

I think you should talk to an economist in the administration of your institution, researchers are often really bad with this and honestly I don't see how we could help you from here with something so specific to your project we don't know anything about. And what is 20 lahk?

Thankyou Micheal ,Ofcourse I will try that site. I do not belong to any institution as I have submitted my project proposal papers to Department of science and technology (DST) India,under WOS-A scheme, for women who would like to come back to research after a gap.The first step of acceptance has been completed and need to move forward with filling the PPD to get the proposal fully accepeted . So I was hoping through this site I would find some one to help me out . I find that this site gives prompt replies, where as I can't get from anywhere....I u could direct to me some one.. that would be of great help.

Please state how this question relates to bioinformatics, at the very least link your other question if posted here. Note that we are not the right forum for asking questions unrelated to bioinformatics. (Michael: 20 lakh rupees ~= 45,000 USD or something thereabouts)
