Dear all

I am considering to know approximate numbers of rare variants (MAF < 0.01-0.005) between specific length of chromosome such as bp, kbp or Mbp in human or cattle sequencing data via next generation sequencing. I will appreciate if anyone has a information or paper regarding to my question.

Regards
Sajjad

I remember reading this in some of the 1000 genomes project papers. The papers can be found in http://www.1000genomes.org. BTW, I don't think you expect the same numbers for cattle and human. These things depend on the demographic history.
