Where did you find your Phd?

Did you stay at your home university or managed to find it somewhere else?

How did it go?

Would you do it again?

Hello frenchmytoast112!

We believe that this post does not fit the main topic of this site.

Not a bioinformatics question.

Alright! You can delete my question then.

Thanks for the reply!

Have a look at https://academia.stackexchange.com/ for more concrete help on PhD in general, or search for bioinformatics https://academia.stackexchange.com/search?q=bioinformatics. If you have a specific question about bioinformatics phd programs you may still use the forum of Biostars.org. It would help to post one such question at a time in forum only, state your desired country of studies, and have something specific to bioinformatics in it e.g. "Is it frowned upon in bioinformatics to get your phd at the same institute where you did your undergrad" assuming there is anything specific to bioinformatics field in this question.

Even in Forum, the topic should be specific, so "how did it go" is possibly not such a good forum topic.

As to "would you do it again?", I fear most phd's would immediately say "No!", but given the same information (and attitude) that they had before starting their phd's, still make the same 'mistake' ;)

Well, I understand perfectly.

As everyone else, I assume I am special snowflake.

But, thank you really a a lot!

I hope I find what I asked for up there.
