ncbi gds datasets

I am a new user of ncbi geo,so iam confused between ncbi gse and gds datasets. I want to know the importance of ncbi gds, can we use this data for analysis, does it represent the complete experiment?

Can anyone tell the difference between ncbi gse and gds?

ncbi geo gds gse

Just out-of-curiosity, how are you planning to access and use the data?

An NCBI GDS is a (now historical) lightly curated version of datasets available as GSE. These days, GEO no longer curates data to GDS format, so it is most general to stick to GSE. Said another way, all data available as a GDS is also available as a GSE, but only a subset (relatively small) of GSEs are available as GDS.
