Uniport-sprot hash digests

I am looking for a place to find the Uniprot-Sprot.dat hash digests to verify the integrity of files upon download. Given how frequently this file is updated, I can't just store and re-use existing hashes, but instead need to find a place online that stores them.

There is a file in each ftp folder called README.metalink that contains this information, which is explained on this page: http://www.uniprot.org/help/metalink. I would try to avoid updating this during a project but if you need to download this information often for whatever reason, then I would recommend writing a script to automate the downloads and integrity checks.
