Interproscan Match Look-Up Service

I am trying to run the standalone version of InterproScan 5 on my server. This version allows the software to connect to the InterproScan service to retrieve up-to-date look up tables to output GO terms and pathways. The configuration file points the service to: http://wwwdev.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/match-lookup

However that service doesn't exist. Does anyone know if the service is just not up yet or moved somewhere?

Hi,

This web service is currently running - the URL given in the query will not return anything, however the two REST web services that run at this context path are working, e.g.:

http://wwwdev.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/match-lookup/matches?md5=D000022E87E6B7B84CCCBA9BAF34568A http://wwwdev.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/match-lookup/isPrecalculated?md5=D000022E87E6B7B84CCCBA9BAF34568A

Of course it is quite possible that they were down when you sent the query ;-)

In general, if you experience any problems with InterProScan 5, it would be best to email the InterProScan 5 support / comments email address: support@ebi.ac.uk This query was spotted by a colleague when googling for something else - I didn't even know this forum / site existed!

For anyone else reading this who is interested, InterProScan 5 is currently in beta release (not suitable or real research yet!). You can find more details at http://code.google.com/p/interproscan/wiki/RunningStandaloneInterProScan5
