I am trying to use CBioportal to find out the mRNA expression between normal vs tumor cases of one gene but could not find any instructions how I can do that. When I use this database I only see option for

Mutation and CNA --Only Mutation ---Only CNA (http://www.cbioportal.org/index.do) when is use the following command in web page

gene: EXP>2 it will allow me selection of normal samples. Could some one at forum may help to understand how should I solve this issue.

Thanks

When querying 2 or more studies, cBioPortal only support mutaiton and CNA. After selecting one cancer study, you would see expression profile if available for the selected study. However, most of the expression z-score profiles are calculated based on a reference population of tumor samples. Normal data integration is in the roadmap of cBioProtal and will be available in the near future.
