I've used Artemis from the Sanger Center for a long time now to look at my various genomes, however I've always been frustrated by something seemingly completely simple.

When opening and saving files using the file browser, Artemis insists on returning to some of the highest level directories on my drive (Usually either / or /Applications/).

I've tried on a number of occasions to set the working directory (and have checked the tick-box for "save between sessions") and yet, Artemis persists in returning to the aforementioned directories.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what I'm missing exactly? It's super frustrating and slows me down a lot when I want to write Fasta etc out from it.
