tools for identifying mitochondrial-targeting sequence in different proteins

Dear all,

I would like to identify mitochondrial-targeting sequence (MTS) in several mouse proteins (which are experimentally found in mitochondria). Would you please recommend me any bioinformatics tools (except Mitoprot and TargetP) or good papers related to MTS identification in proteins?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find the MTS for my mitochondrial gene of a fungus. Do you know any tools for that?

Also I am not sure if MTS transport only proteins or can also be used to transport gene sequence.
