What is the difference between fine-mapping and targeted sequencing?

Ehh, not really. My understanding is as follows:
Fine mapping is to go from tag SNPs in GWAS to identifying the causal SNPs
Targeted sequencing is a generic term to use some kind of capture technology to enrich for certain part of the genome before doing sequencing.
Its more accurate to say that you can use targeted sequencing for fine mapping.
