I am learning statistical genetics, GWAS and candidate gene analysis. Suppose that I have GWAS data from population A and there is a published paper on similar topics in candidate gene study from population B. Can I use the GWAS data to reproduce the gene and SNPs found in candidate gene study without performing more experiment? I mean computational analysis?
