Hello, I got an assignment at my workplace.

SNP ID 1041_a 1041_b 1042_a 1042_b
rs8102454 AA AA AG AA
rs10086908 AA AA AA AA
rs10486567 GG GG AG AA

My job is to heighlight the genotype difference if occuring in the repeating experiment for the same sample. For example, sample 1041 in experiment a and b. The coing itself is simple, my question is what is the physical purpose for repeating experiment?

Thanks.

can you clarify your question? it seems like you're asking about the utility of having biological replicates?(!)

Maybe my question is why biological replicates is required?

Experimental systems exhibit variation. All measurements suffer from variation (how tall are you in nanometers?). The purpose of repeating an experiment is to account for variation and provide a degree of certainty. If you see something only once, how do you know if it is reproducible or believable? Repeating the experiment allows you to assess the variability, and state some degree of confidence in an observation.
