career for bioinformatics in USA . are there any job opportunities for a student who have completed his/her masters in bioinformatics ?

I've completed my b tech biotechnology. I have plans to do my masters in area of bioinformatics in USA . Can any one pl tell me how was the carrier for a bioinformatic student in usa?? Are there any job opportunities for a student who have done with their masters in bioinformatics?

It was my pleasure to get a reply from you . As i told i have completed my B.tech biotechnology in INDIA . I want to do my Masters in the bioinformatics area , what sort of software languages (BIOINFORMATICS) do i have to know , to run parallel with the academics over there in USA?

Hi Vijetha, This forum is more focused on answering "real" bioinformatics questions. The ones that you come across when performing some bioinformatic analysis. IMHO your questions are too general and it would be better if you can "google" them to get your answers. I am sure there are many posts and blogs that have compared different programming languages that are widely used in bioinformatics. We would be glad to help you with a question for which you couldn't find any satisfying answer anywhere else on the web.

My personal belief (based on many interviews that I have conducted) is that there are plenty of jobs and not that many qualified candidates.
