Carrer Orientation in Bioinformatics

I am a Masters in Biotechnology student, who is interested in during PhD in Bioinformatics. My area of interest is bioinformatics and machine learning, though I am learning both as of now. Can anyone suggest me different places where I can pursue Doctorate and learn and develop something of critical importance to the society? Thanking you in anticipation.

Look for vacant PhD-student positions anywhere in the world (check on websites of universities or institutes of your interest), depends a bit on your CV of course if it's feasible.

i do get it, i asked for subset for bioinformatics, of course the world is the universal set. But the question was for specific places where doctorate in bioinformatics can be pursued..!!
