BLAST against subsets selected from within UniProt
I want to perform a BLAST seach and see the alignment results only against a small set of sequences either selected from within UniProt, or a list of IDs mapped in via the interface upload. If anyone from UniProt thinks this functionality could be added as a feature that would be great, but can anyone suggest a workround for now?

how about http://www.uniprot.org/blast/ or download uniprot and format your blast database ?
But in the former I only have a limited set of options to BLAST against, which does not include the ID list represented as the history of my interface selects. Sure, I could make local mini databases but that does not really have the flexibility I am looking for
