Can Not Related Sequence Alignment Questions Be Posted In Biostar?

I posted this question, which was closed instantly. My opinion is that since is not directly related with sequence alignment, it is not interesting to this forum. I would like to know your opinion about posting questions related with docking, molecular dynamics, computational biology and so on here. It would be also nice if you can suggest me about other active stack or non stack exchange sites for posting such questions.

docking biostar meta

if you take a second look, you'll see that your question was not closed because it is uninteresting but because it was considered to be a duplicate of a previously asked question. If you think it was not, maybe you can clarify how it is not and ask again.

No need to supect anyting, posting about any bioinformatics-related topic is fine with me (at least ;)), or biostatistics, protein-informatics, comp. biology, systems biology, RNA-folding, and the lol-omics (at least I feel so). Expect this question to be closed as a meta-qustion though, which should be discussed in the google-group.

And btw, the reason for the large portion of sequencing and sequence alignment questions is that NGS is the new trend (or 'hype') and that's why the large majority of students, PhD and post-docs (main audience of biostar?) will face a task like 'analyse this huge dataset from that new ferrari - sequencer we just bought'. That's how it is, you can complain about this, but that wouldn't change anything.

thanks to everybody!
