Synthetic chemist by training, slowly turning into a bioinformatician. Interested in all things semantic, in particular ontology engineering, knowledge representation, use of the semantic web for the sciences etc. I actively work on developing tools for the improved diagnosis of Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PIDs) as a hobby at night. During the day, I work as an ontologist at the European Bioinformatics Institute.
