I would so much appreciate it if someone can forward me to online resources that have: 1) frequency distributions of binding sites 2) background probability of a selected genome.

I have been given as a homework to create the PWM out of this information.

Additionally, I would be happy if someone could explain me how to scan the promoter region to detect binding sites (- I am interested to know how I can download files which have promoter region ) .
