News: Phylogenetic Comparative Methods in R - Online course - June 15th-19th

Dear all,

Are you interested in Phylogenetic Comparative Methods in R?

We are pleased to announce the 6th edition of this online Physalia course, which will run from June 15th to 19th.

Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course44/

This course provides a hands-on introduction to how phylogenetic comparative methods can be used to study trait evolution and diversification using time-calibrated phylogenies.

Over five days, participants will combine lectures and practical sessions to learn how to:

  • Build and interpret ultrametric phylogenies (chronograms)
  • Reconstruct trait evolution across lineages
  • Explore models of diversification and evolutionary rates
  • Apply phylogenetic comparative methods in R

The course is aimed at advanced students, researchers, and professionals with a basic background in evolutionary biology and some familiarity with R. Participants are also welcome to bring their own datasets for discussion and practical guidance.
