I am happy to announce a preview release of the new FAIRMD Lipids Databank web-portal.

FAIRMD Lipids Databank is a community-driven catalogue containing atomistic molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of biologically relevant lipid membranes emerging from the NMRlipids open collaboration. It improves the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse (FAIR) of MD simulation data using an overlay databank structure described in the databank publication.

The application is implemented as a lightweight web application in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, using the modern Laravel framework, enabling easy containerized deployment. Our service supports Bioschema annotations as site metadata to improve the findability of web resources.

This is an alpha release, so we are seeking feedback from users within the field and anyone interested. The FAIRMD Lipids project welcomes contributions, e.g. simulations, experimental data, or contributions to the code base.
