Cost for the deposition of sequencing data in GEO and SRA

Hi, I am writing the budget justification for NIH grant application. I need to request the budget for data management and sharing. I plan to deposit my sequencing data in GEO and SRA. I am going to request $0 for this, as I understand that data deposition in GEO and SRA is free. To ensure this before submitting my application, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could confirm that there are no associated costs. Thanks!

That is correct. There are no fees to submit data to GEO or the SRA. That said if you need to submit other types of data that don't fit into GEO or SRA you could potentially need to use other repositories that might have costs involved (e.g., Dryad), so it might be worth budgeting something for that.
