Is it possible to detect fusion genes by either stranded or unstranded RNA-seq?

I am interested in detecting fusion genes in RNA-seq data. I'm going to use STAR-Fusion. There are two types of RNA-seq, stranded RNA-seq and unstranded RNA-seq. Is it possible to detect fusions in either of these two types? I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me.

rna-seq star-fusion

Yes, you can detect fusions in both.

Stranded has the advantage that you can find whether an RNA-seq read originated from the plus or minus strand of the DNA template. This has nothing to do with fusion.

Thank you for your quick guidance!
