I am working with the METABRIC breast cancer dataset. In some files I see sample IDs like this:
MTS-T0267 MTS-T0284 MTS-T0288 MTS-T0296 But in other files I see sample IDs like this:
MB-4148 MB-4154 MB-4171 MB-4173 MB-4189
What is the difference between the samples starting with MB to the ones starting with MTS? I found nothing in the article itsel explaining the difference.

I am not sure that there is a difference. It could be related to different sites where the patients were recruited, but cannot confirm.
