How to obtain GO:Slim terms for multiple GO:terms

Hi,

Do you know how to obtain GO:Slim terms (the broader category) for GO-BP:Terms/GO:Terms?

I tried using Categoriser but it seems very old webresource. Also I tried to to obtain from ensembl but it is very slow as I have to obtain the full list and the extract GO:terms of my interest.

I prefer something quicker and in R.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks!

It's not in R, but there's a GO Slim Mapper tool online:

https://go.princeton.edu/cgi-bin/GOTermMapper

https://www.yeastgenome.org/goSlimMapper

These are nearly identical, just hosted in different places. If you're not interested in yeast, the SGD version does allow you to select the generic slim or upload your own (as does the Princeton version).

Thanks for suggestion.

However, It is not reducing the GO term Id to GO-Slim, the output looks like this, which does not help at all.

Need a better solution.
