Where are the associated annotation (GFF) files for mitochondrial genomes on NCBI?
I can easily get the FASTA file for the whole mitochondrial genome but can't find the associated GFF annotation files. Anyone know where these are stored or do I have to annotate (i.e MITOS) these genomes myself!?

Eventually found my answer.
The annotation files for mitochondria are located in the "Send to:" drop down menu.
To access this: 1) click on the NCBI refseq link 2) Click on "send to:" drop down menu 3) Click "File" on "Choose Destination" 4) Then choose your desired format such as "GFF3"
Others may already know this but unlike bacteria the file isn't clearly located.
