polyA+ versus polyA- RNA seq from ENCODE
I'm trying to download RNA-seq data from the ENCODE portal:
https://www.encodeproject.org/experiments/ENCSR000CPG/
But am struggling to understand what the term "polyA plus RNAseq" and "polyA negative RNAseq" means. I would guess "polyA plus RNAseq" is RNA sequencing of mRNAs with a polyA tail. What I'm confused about is "polyA negative RNAseq". Does this refer to (1) sequencing RNA that lacks a poly A tail, or (2) RiboMinus RNA seq protocols where you subtract out the ribosomal RNAs?
