Hi all,

I have a basic question. We are planning to perform transcriptome sequencing of leaf samples from Barley plants. We have two options, DNBSEQTM platform from BGI, and Illumina: NovaSeq 6000/HiSeq from macrogen EUROPE. And there is considerable price difference. I would like to ask which platform we should use? Also does it make any impact for publication?

Thank you

You can use either. I am not familiar with DNBSEQ but it seems to be commonly used in EU/Asia since it is currently not available for sale in US (going to change later this year). Type of sequencer you use should make no difference for publication.
